High School Wrestling / JV Championship of the World - Feb 3
« Last post by finch114 on January 29, 2024, 09:10:35 AM »Send your JV wrestlers, as well as those who did not qualify for their respective regional tournaments, to the JV Championship of the World at Topsail HS on Saturday, Feb 3rd. Last year, 150 JV wrestlers registered. Great final tournament for those wrestlers who made it this far into the season with you. Open Dates and Scheduling / Manteo High Girl/Boys weekend dual events 2024-25
« Last post by jgmetzinger on January 28, 2024, 10:10:31 AM »Manteo high school is hosting multiple events next season and we are looking for teams. We also have some dates we are willing to travel for boy&girl combo duals.
Mid Week Matches
1) Wednesday November 18th. Looking to have a boys and girls tri/quad meet. Looking for multiple teams
2) Wednesday Dec 4th. Boys and Girls tri/quad. Currently Manteo and West Craven
3) Tuesday January 7th. Currently a girls tri and a boys tri with currituck and edenton. Looking for 1 more school each.
4) Tuesday January 28th. Currently a boys tri with hertford county and northeastern, and a girls dual with northeastern. Looking for 2 girls teams and 1 boys team.
Weekend Matches
1) Dec 13-14 looking to host a double quad/small dual team tournament. I’d prefer programs that will bring both girls and boy teams and would love to do this on a Friday night if possible. Multiple spots left.
2) Jan 18 2025 will be our annual Redskin Duals tournament. It is a sanctioned event ever year. It has teams from NC and VA. We want to have 8-12 boys teams and 5-7 girls teams. Goal is to get everyone 5-6 matches. Almost full
With the fast growth of women’s wrestling I see these events filling up fast. If you want to put your team/s in please email Coach Metzinger at metzingerji@daretolearn.org

The scholarship is sponsored by the WIBN Charlotte chapter and has awarded two scholarships annually for the last two years.
