I was told by a few coaches that their AD/school would not provide meal money for the state tournament. Beyond being unprofessional, unbecoming, and uncaring, it is also illegal. Schools are supposed to provide the following for all wrestlers and coaches while attending the state tournament:
$46 total per wrestler/coach broken down as follows:
3 dinners @ $8 each = $24
2 lunches @ $6 each = $12
2 breakfasts $5 each =$10
This is found on page 79 in the NCHSAA Handbook, which happens to be in the basketball section. If your team was not allocated meal money for wrestling and your basketball team qualifies for the playoffs find out if those players and coaches are given meal money.

Sorry for posting this after the state tournament. This needs to remain in place for future reference for all to see for future state tournaments.
