Title: 4x Timers that weren’t.

NC hasn’t had a 4x since 2009 (Mock and Creed)

Here are some kids who had a shot but didn’t get it done: (criteria-won as a freshman)

Tim Decatur 1-3-1-1
Josh Blatt 1-1-2-1
Mitchel Langford 1-1-1-2
Drew Turner 1-1-3-1
Grant Hall 1-INJ-INJ-4
Austin Jamison 1-2-4-2
Marc Gonzalez 1-1-DNC-DNC
Dylan Cala 1-2-DNC-5
Daniel Gregorich 1-3-?-?
David Cline 1-4-SQ-DNQ
Ben Creed 1-1-3-6
Ty Franklin 1-3-SQ-1

Could Foor, Andrews and Jordan join this list or become a 4x champ?

I think it is the wording you used. Sounds a little demeaning. Could have been phrased better, we are still talking about kids.

It shows how hard it is to accomplish.  There have only been 9 I think to ever be 4-timers.  One questionable call or one bad match and it goes away.  There were alot of 3x champs crowned at the State tournament this year.  Which is a GREAT accomplishment.  I'm guessing Landon Foor will get it done, but you never know.

Super hard. Only 8: Creed, Mock, Sparrow, Bullins, McKinney, Forshey, Bentley, Kendall

Interesting note. 2 ten year periods with different results when comes to 4x timers.

00-09 (5 4x timers)
Drew Forshey
Dusty McKinney
Justin Sparrow
Chris Bullins
Jacob Creed
Corey Mock

10-19 (0 4x timers)


Honestly, I think it is because the depth in NC is getting better making harder to win.
