Title: Question regarding event maximums for the NCHSAA Spring Season
Post by: Longdayrunner on January 19, 2021, 02:32:25 PM
The NCHSAA has the following on their site:

SEASON LIMIT  | 14 tris
WEEKLY LIMIT  |  2 tris

A tri meet is traditionally considered an event with three teams total participating.  So, does that definition defines the NCHSAA spring season or does a tri meet mean you will wrestle three times with four teams competing?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

In addition to this you can have your conference tournament. It must be prior to June 11th and you can have it in a week when you also wrestle 2 tri-meets according to Tra.

In order to follow the current guide lines of teams in gyms it would be miserable trying to get 4 teams in a gym. Not allowed to have more than two teams in a gym so from our AD he says when we run our tris gotta have the 3rd team in another gym or outside on their bus until its their time to come in and wrestle and cannot have the teams walk past each other etc when moving in and out of the gym. Says thats what they currently have to do for volleyball when they have more than two teams at an event.
