Title: Meal Money for wrestlers in the State Tournament
Post by: Coach Atwood on February 15, 2023, 10:49:31 AM
Don't let the school your wrestlers represent go without getting their allocated meal money from the school.    Schools are required to provide meal money.  The total amount for each qualifier should be $57.  Check out the attachment for further information as detailed in the NCHSAA handbook.

That part of the book deals with the basketball state championships.  I don't think they will apply it to wrestling.  They need a paragraph like that in the wrestling section.

It most certainly does apply to wrestling in the very same way.  One sport can't be given priority or preference over another.

I 100% agree with you.  It would just make it easier if there was a statement like that in the wrestling section.  Maybe our coaches' association can work on that.

Great point coach, I will pass that recommendation on to Jamie Belk.
