John Carothers needs your help...

Wrestling people and anyone else who knows him, former coach John Carothers is fighting for his life on a ventilator in Charlotte.  John helped out at West Charlotte and ran the Pitbulls club team for many years.  His son was a state placer for West Charlotte some years back.  John is a retired firefighter. Please take time to think about and pray for John. 


***UPDATE April 3***
Posting this quick update on John Carothers..this is from his wife Valerie..John is making very slow progress and is still on the ventilator. They take him off to do some breathing exercises. Thank you to the wrestling community for your kindness and support.  I am going to create a GoFundMe page to support John and his family. Coach Atwood will share the GoFundMe page when I get it created.  Thanks ahead of time for helping Coach Carothers.

This is an update that I just received on John Carothers:

I received a phone call this afternoon from John.  He sounded awful and weak.  His first words were "I beat it".  We spoke for 5 min. or so and his voice was trailing off so it was a good time to hang up.  I will call him tomorrow.  He will offer is own thanks to everyone when he can so for today I told hime I would do that.
