Based on the Women's Regional qualifying criteria, should girls wrestle boys starting this season?  With only 8 girls, based on win loss records, qualfying for a Regional berth; why take on unnessary losses to boys and basically forfeit a girl's opportunity to wrestle in the Regionals?  The number of schools assigned to the Regionals are as follows:

West - 51 schools
Mid West - 52 schools
Mid East - 52 schools
East - 52 schools

Only 15.3% of schools assigned to a Regional will get the opportunity to wrestle in postseason.  In the last several years, girls with betters skills were left out of the postseason because they had losses mostly due to wrestling the boys.

What are your thoughts?

This list of schools will be larger most likely. I think this is just schools that had girls on their roster last season. Rosewood is not on the list but we will have a minimum of 6 girls this year but probably a few more.
