We still have several openings on Team NC for the Junior National Duals in Tulsa, OK. The duals are June 18-22 but we will be beginning our training camp next Wednesday and it will run until we leave for Tulsa. We are looking for a Junior aged 100, 106, 113, 132, 182, and 195. If you know anyone who maybe interested please contact me at coachyrad@gmail.com.

Hate to see that many holes on the team. What can you do, can't make kids go.

Someone could raise some funds to lower the cost, I have to believe that the $1000 price tag is part of the problem.

Absolutely. Cost out a post season for a good kid and you will start to understand. You have:
NHSCA IND
NHSCA DUALS
SSE REGIONALS
FLOS
FARGO
JUNIOR DUALS
A camp every week if you like.

Also this particular tournament is the same time frame as AAU duals in Orlando.

Would be interesting if the coaches just picked a team and didn't have a qualifier.  I know it would not be fair, but it sounds like the quality isn't there and there are way too many holes.

There are some really good freestyle and Greco juniors who aren't participating because of
* cost - subsidize the effort. (put forth best NC has to offer)
* fear of being on a dismal team. There in-turn it is a waste of money- Lower tier pools against other teams with holes. So potential forfeits.

Put forth the best NC has to offer and subsidize the cost.

Would be interesting if you took the best kids who competed at Fargo and stuck them on a team. What would happen.
Who are the best NC kids and does NCUSA wrestling identify those kids?
