J.R. Jones passed away December 5, 2023. He was born in High Point, NC.

A visitation in memory will be held at Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home, 976 Phillips Ave., High Point, Friday, January 26, 2024 from 3 until 5 p.m.

In case you don’t know who he is many affectionately referred to him as “Sarge” due to his status as a former Marine and his life long crew cut hairstyle.  A true legend in officiating football, wrestling, and baseball. May he rest in peace.
