NCHSAA Wrestling Regional Alignment

We can speculate that the NCHSAA will align our regionals in one of the 3 different options.
1. Group 4-5 conferences together (like they did prior to 2018)
2. Use Longitude across the ENTIRE state.
3. Use Longitude based on the EAST & WEST alignment that they have already released ( https://www.nchsaa.org/sites/default/files/attachments/2021-2025_ClassAlpha.pdf)

Option 3 would not work with 1A. 13 teams in the east and 35 teams in the west.  2A has a lot of schools that don’t offer wrestling as well. May have an imbalance here as well. My guess is that they use option 1.

agreed. most of those 1A teams dont have wrestling. 1A will take some more time to work out.

Judging by how they divided conferences it will be Option 1.
