Getting Started
Learn the Basics:
Visit the Cooking Master NPC: Hestia in Sanctum for Elyos, or Lainita in Pandaemonium for Asmodians.
Purchase the base Cooking skill for 3,500 Kinah to start your journey.
Pick Up Recipes:
Start with basic white or green recipes from Design Merchants in the Artisan’s Hall or Temple of Artisans.
Early recipes are cheap and perfect for leveling while building a supply of consumables.
Leveling Strategy
There are two main ways to level your Cooking skill:
Work Orders (Fastest XP)
Repeatable quests from the Cooking Master.
Materials are provided, so you only pay a small Kinah fee.
Fastest way to hit level 400.
AFK/Manual Crafting
Use your gathered ingredients to craft.
Slower, but cheaper than Work Orders.
Queue multiple crafts to level even while away from the keyboard.
Gathering & Resource Management
Cooking depends on quality ingredients. Here’s how to get them efficiently:
Essence Extraction: Gather raw materials from nodes.
Substance Morphing: Transform Odal into rare ingredients instantly, skipping tedious farming.
Stat Investment: Increase Prophetus Hand, Delicate Touch, and Lady Luck for better yields and high-quality ingredients.
Mini-Map Unlocks: As you progress, resource nodes appear on your mini-map for easier gathering.
Advanced Crafting Mechanics
Chaining System: High-tier recipes often require lower-tier dishes as ingredients.
Success Procs: Each craft can turn into a superior version (longer duration or stronger stat boost).
High-Tier Recipes: Blue and purple recipes can’t be bought—they’re rewards from work orders or dropped by elite mobs.
Professional Rank: Reach level 50 in the Novice tier, then complete a side quest to unlock Professional level, advancing toward level 100.
