Here is the information for our Club (K-8) Youth Tournament happening in a couple weeks on Sunday, December 15th 2024

High School Wrestling / NCMAT is now under new ownership (Rhett and Ryan)
« Last post by Coach Atwood on November 18, 2024, 12:20:51 PM »Beginning March 1, 2025, NCMAT will be handed off to none other than Rhett Hoy and Ryan Mitchell. These two are well known in the NC Wrestling Community with their dedicated work via the Carolina Takedown Talk podcast and I can't think of anybody better to hand the website off to. With these two at the helm, I believe the best days of NCMAT are ahead of us, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for the website.

Tournaments and Camps / 2025 "John Kelly" Ocean Lakes Invitational (Jan 24 & 25)
« Last post by mmosley2 on November 15, 2024, 08:36:06 AM »Hello everyone, we are looking for a few teams for the 2025 "John Kelly" Ocean Lakes Invitational. This is one of Virginia's premier tournaments that brings in high level competition from both inside and outside of the state. Last year our tournament featured 13 state champions and 71 state place winners.
The tournament will be held on January 24th & 25th, 2025. It will feature five mats at Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach, VA. The tournament will begin on Friday, January 25th at 1:00 and continue till around 9:30 pm. You will need to be able to get out of school to make this commitment. Make sure you get permission from your administration before committing to the tournament.
Wrestling will continue Saturday, January 20th at 10:00 am. With this schedule in mind we should be done by 5:30 pm. Medals will be awarded to the top six places and trophies to top three teams.

This year’s tournament will try to host 24 to 32 Teams from all classifications in Virginia as well as teams from other outlying States. This is a VHSL Sanctioned event. This event will be run on Track Wrestling and on 5 mats at Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The tournament will be held on December 20 & 21, 2024 at Ocean Lakes High School. We will award trophies to the Top 5 Teams, Medals for Top 8 Individuals per weight and additional trophies to be given out for the Most Outstanding Wrestler and the Most Falls (Fastest Time). This is a great opportunity to get kids medals and build confidence for the second half of the season since the tournament medals Top 8 in each weight class. Last year this tournament featured 3 state champions and 28 state place winners, making it a very tough level of competition.
